Why I’m Telling My Story Now

For a long time, I thought silence was strength.

I kept everything that happened to me growing up locked down, buried under work, fatherhood, pride, and pain. But silence didn’t protect me. It just passed the damage forward—to the people I loved, to my children, to myself.

This memoir is the story of breaking that silence.

I wrote it because I needed to understand what happened to me. I published it because I know I’m not the only one. There are fathers out there trying to raise their kids better than they were raised. There are men carrying scars from their childhoods that still shape every decision they make. And there are boys right now living through what we lived through—wondering if they’ll ever feel safe, or seen, or whole.

This site is for us.

It’s a place to share, to heal, and to start conversations we were never allowed to have. I’ll be sharing pieces of my journey, resources for men and teens, updates about the book, and hopefully hearing from some of you along the way.

If this resonates with you, stick around. If you need support, check the Resources page. And if you just want someone to say, “I see you”—consider this that moment.

We don’t have to carry it all alone anymore.
